Dear Friends,
Jesus said to Martha before raising Lazarus from the dead:
“Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”
John. 11:40
We still need to see God’s glory in our daily lives, and He continues to challenge us to believe: To believe He is able to provide the funds for the needy, to bring healing to the sick and weary, to transform the heart of the prodigal and those who have never known Him, to renew love in relationships that have grown cold.
Sandra and I continue to see God’s faithfulness in providing for us each week as we assist the poor and bring food to the children.
We wish you could be with us when the little ones storm out of their classroom to give us hugs, along with whoever has joined us for the day. It never ceases to give me great joy as we share not only food but the love of family and friendship. The people are appreciative and have learned not only to join us in prayer but to add their own prayers as well.
We have had a number of friends from Chicago and from our condominium join us each week during the tourist high season. They all express their appreciation for what we do and feel they have spent one of the best days of their vacation. Many return with school supplies that are always needed by teachers, and some invite their friends on additional trips. If you have the opportunity, come see us and lend a hand in caring for the kids.
Again, thank you so much for your financial assistance and your faithful prayers; we couldn’t be here without both. We appreciate so much all of your special gifts at the year’s end. Keep in touch at emailthebarrs@gmail.com or 630-563-2636.
Love and blessings,
Randy and Sandra Barr
