Dear friends,

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord…”

This week we were grateful to Christ’s Church from Muskogee, Oklahoma who sent a Missions Team of fifty-three people to help us at one of our schools. On Wednesday we had a Fiesta in Quimixto: games with prizes, hot dogs, special cakes, and a lot of fun for all. The sixth grade girls had prepared a special dance for the team. The team responded lovingly to the kids, and by the end of the day it was a real success.

On Friday we returned to Quimixto to paint all of the classrooms. Imagine over 50 people splashing paint and doing their best to make it look professional. Thankfully we did have a few experienced painters, and the job looked terrific! The teachers and children had the day off, so we will hear their comments next Wednesday.

It is always refreshing and a source of joy to have people share their love and gifts with our kids. The visitors are always moved by the love and appreciation the kids show for each act of kindness they receive.

IMG_0727_webSan and I are doing well after a few weeks of battling the flu and whatever else we may have had. A little illness goes a long way in jolting our gratitude for health and extending greater empathy to those who suffer.

Our summer plans are unclear, but we hope to see family and friends in the States if all things come together.IMG_0754_web

Again, thank you for helping us finish our tenth year of Caring for Kids. God’s best to each of you.

Our love,

Randy and Sandra Barr
