Dear friends,

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

3 John 1:2

Quimixto students present “Get Well” cards to Randy

This is God’s desire for all of us, but there are times when He allows us to go through difficult days in order that we might learn to give thanks and to trust Him in all situations. The last several months have been challenging for Randy as he began to retain water (edema), and weaken. After lots of tests, our cardiologist and internist prescribed a healthy diet and several new meds. Please hold him up in prayer as the weakness limits normal life.

This September, I resumed our school lunch program alone some weeks. The Quimixto school made ‘Get Well’ cards for Randy; and he was able to return once or twice to lots of happy hugs there and at Boca de Tomatlan. We are so grateful for our faithful cooks and organizers who keep the great meals coming.

Group hug for Randy

As we pray with the students before serving lunch, it is heartening to hear lots of them initiating and leading the prayer. They have learned over the years and add their own requests, such as: ‘por la recuperacion de Randy’ (for the recuperation of Randy).

We want to thank you for your interest and for your help in making this program possible. We appreciate you and pray that ‘you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers’. Have a beautiful Fall!

Love and blessings from Puerto Vallarta,
