Hello My Faithful Friends,
God gave me Psalm 46 to comfort and encourage me. It’s all-encompassing! Here is a summary: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present Help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and the mountains slide into the sea.” because “There is a river…in the City of God… she shall not be moved…The nations raged”…but “the Lord of Armies is with us…He makes wars cease…” He says: “Cease striving…stop your fighting…and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations…The Lord of Hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.”
The Psalmist saw a future City of God, and we will live there with Him if we “KNOW that HE is God”. Do you really know Him? He will show His love to you if you simply open your heart and ask Him to give you all He has for you!
We celebrated Dia del Nino with Quimixto School. They love the game of choosing a number and getting the corresponding prize, from a chiclet to a little toy. One of the sweet girls gave me her gum.
The construction of a new ‘boardwalk/malecon” has given rise to new little tiendas. Veronica sells mangos and pineapple, veggies and plants.
Thanks to our prayers, Kindergarten has a great interim teacher now. Please keep praying for enough teachers willing to work in Quimixto this Fall.
Praising God for healing the ankle, and bad circulation to the foot of Felice’s Father. Now I am asking for his eyesight to return.
Got to celebrate two birthdays with my Mexican Family. Two pinatas!
Looking forward to our Barr reunion in July, so would appreciate your prayers for a great time together with the families of Adam, Abi, Luke, and Emily. Ten grandsons. Two granddaughters!!
Love and blessings,
Sandra Barr
